Default Cold lake summer fishing?

Hey everyone,
We are planning a trip up to Cold Lake in June this year and I was just curious about a few things! Anyone that can help out will be much appreciated!
I've been to cold lake once quite a few years ago, we were just aiming for lakers at that time, but I have heard that there are also pike and walleye in the lake. However, I've heard that the walleye were pretty tough to track down. Where on the lake do you guys usually go to get these suckers! I was also curious about what type of bait fish are living in the lake.

We are going for a full weekend, so it would be nice to take a break from the lakers one day and aim for a different species for a while. I've heard good stories about Marie lake, just a short drive from Cold Lake, so we may try that place out as well.

Any help would be appreciated greatly! Thanks guys!

You might want to try around the Martineau River.

The walleye are tough ! Martineau river is a shot , there are some really nice pike to be had in cold lake , just try shallower areas ! Marie is an option if the big lake gets blown out ! Good luck !

If you are going on at PP boat ramp go straight out centre bay towards the point not to close to point or you will be catching pike all day long.try to stay out so you are in at least 15-17fow. I would also not neglect to fish Moose lake nice lake good structure and some big eyes...good luck

also if the wind is bad check out Hilda lake for walleye, it's a nice little gem of a lake.

Just be aware Hilda has a walleye limit of zero, so put them back.

if the wind gets you try ethel, tons of pike and some good eyes. But there is a zero limit on eyes so enjoy but let them go.
