Default Aluminum hull repair?

Looking for some help! i have a 17.5ft Misty River Super V (aluminum hull). Storm came up yesterday and my boat got slammed into a metal bracket on the dock, put a 12" gouge and a 2" by 1" hole in the side of the hull . Anyone know what it takes to fix this? and can anyone suggest a place in southern alberta (lethbridge area) that might be good?

thanks

Take it to a welding shop, they work with this stuff lots. Any metal can be repaired.

Talked to a couple of welders, beacuse of the foam in the hull no one wants to touch it. Local boat shops were no help either. Looks like only option is to fill hole with a product like JB weld then get a patch rivetted overtop. hope this works...

Sounds like they don't want to touch it because of liability reasons.
Should be no reason why they can not weld the aluminum.
