Default The wildflower 9' 5wt :)

I'm happy with it, my epoxy job could have been a bit better and one of the guides is just sliiiightly off, but I just need some more practice

titanium guides, Batson Rainshadow RX8 blank. Batson reel seat.

and the reel is my first sage, a 4250. I'm super excited to christen both this weekend. Planning on going to willow creek below chain lakes

I like it a lot. Not sure what I'm going to build for my next rod but I'm definitely hooked! more addictive than fly tying.

got a billion ideas for rods in my head already... I think I want to make myself a sage circa creek rod but I wanna build another practice rod first. maybe a batson 6wt for my girlfriend to nymph with this winter

That's great to hear, I may attempt a rod sometime in the future. Not sure if you know about this site but there are some unbelievable rod builders on this forum and a wealth of knowledge.

yup, just made an account today.

If want to get into it I'd definitely suggest taking a course from fishtales. Wayne really knows his stuff and is a great teacher.

Beauty rod! If you don't mind me asking, what do you estimate the total cost to build it was?
