Default Here Moosey

Anyone ever hunt up by Red Earth? How did you do?? Any nice Bulls?? I sure would like a heads up if anyone has hunted the area. Thanks in advance

very low population, lots of native pressure.

Last two years we were about 2 hours north of Red Earth. Very little sign. Did manage to get a bull each year but we consider ourselves very lucky. Talked with a worker in the area, 2 weeks in and two weeks out, was a hunter, and the only moose he saw in the last 4 months was at our camp. Pretty sad.

I have worked in the area and do alot of work East in the Wabasca area. I have seen 1 moose in the last 10 years.

I work in the Wabasca area and east. I do alot of flying in the area, scouting locations. I saw one helluva big moose in the Salesky area, (tough tough access before the ice roads go in), and thats about it. There is just not many of them, especially anywhere the First Nations can access.
I think I'd pass on wasting any hunting time there.
Just my opinion.

Default no moose

I was a guide for a few years north of RedEarth and i would not waste my time hunting up in that neck of the woods...What the boys say is true..Lots of Natives and Bears and very little moose, Sorry its true!!!
