Default fixing up old decoys

Hello, I have a bunch of older decoys. They have got a shine to them from years of bouncing around hunting. I am looking for advice on what guys do to make them more appealing to the birds. The colouration is still good on them, but they have the dreaded glare when the sun hits them. Do guys paint them? Or can a guys put a few wing feathers on them to make them more appealing? Any help is greatly appreciated, Eric

You could wash them with anti-UV soap. Then hit them with a coat of Krylon matte clear coat. You can buy head flocking kits from places like Cabelas too.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that. Does anybody know what the head flocking is actually? Is it paint? or fabric that is glued on to the head and neck? Sorry for the questions, but I'm trying to spice up these older decoys, to make them good to go. Thanks, Eric

It comes as a powder. It's a soft finish, almost like a fabric.

I just use regular spray paint...as long as you get the right colors all is well. If you have an airbrush that is the best..... thats what I have used in the past....
