The guys that know the lake for walleye are VERY tight lipped. I've only fished trout there so can't really help.

only ever caught a walleye there in spring in the bay at the P.P launch , after that they go ................. ????? Don't fish there often enough to have the walleyes figured out , and like team pro said , no one is talking !!!! There is always Marie lake , ethel lake that have walleyes to catch. Nice second option if the big lake gets too rough ! Good luck and enjoy !
