Default Fishing around Edmonton

Hello Folks,

I bought a boat last weekend and I am trying to find somewhere within 1.5 hours of Edmonton that is worthwhile to go fishing for pike, walleye, etc. I am not too picky, I just want some action. I tried Wabamun on Sunday, but had no luck. Please provide guidance on any hot spots this time of year.

Thanks.

There's really no such thing as a 'hot spot'. You have to put in your time and learn the water you are fishing. Certain waters may be better at certain tmes of the year, but even then, there is no guarantee.

I am a big fan of Wabamun and I would recommend you spend some time exploring and learning the lake and its structure. There are lots of hammer handles in there as well as lots of monsters

Good luck,

FF

Put in the time at Wabamun and you won't be let down

Wabamun for Pike, Pigeon for Walleye - can't keep any in either, but the fishing is good in both.
