accually just took out the small spin casting gear with a small spinner, was a blast, muir lake was the worst ever, no big swirls, just catching smaller ones there then sauer and chickcoo.

How the heck do you cast out far enough with a spinner? Did the wind blow it farther? Lol

haha at muir lake the big ones hang close to shore like a foot of water usually, but didnt see any swirls or any sign of big ones so went to the bay and the small ones were stacked in there, easy casting the small spinners on 4lb line

Put some split shot on your line 12 - 18" above the spinner.

Had a good time out on Chickakoo last night with the Wife after we found the gate to Muir locked. Tried for a bit a the boat launch but there was a lady trying to fly fish over the weeds so we gave her the clear area at the boat launch and put in the Aluminum for a couple of hours.

Caught my first ever brook trout so that was cool, bunch of little rainbows and lots of action, good times!

boat launch at muir is closed because of a huge fallen tree, and yes lots of brookies out there as well, alot of fun indeed, great senery as well.

Ah, thanks for the info. I didn't bother to investigate just went "well that sucks" and then "Guess i'll try Chickakoo"

I'll have to try Sauer myself, I've got a hankerin for some trout lately.

Which lake are you going to Jason? I think I'm heading back out to the river tonight. See if I can catch something other than a sucker by something other than the tail...

Megan and I headed down to the river again. I got a small walleye and hooked into something that broke me off... Fought like a pike for about 8 seconds...then it fought like a snag that had won
