Default Winchester 760????

Not sexy, not super fast, but very capable if you can still buy it. Win 760.

Used to make Win 785, but that was fazed out long ago.

I’ve always used 4064 in my .30-06.

I'd try Ramshot Hunter.
22" barrel?

Reloader 22. Very accurate, good speed and no pressure.

55gr IMR 4350 is my go -to with 180 HDY I/L, wonder why it won't work with your Accubonds?

Maybe try Winchester 780 or 760.

That's the same load I have been using for years with a 180 grain Accubond and it seems to work fine. Avg. 2660 fps and les than 1 moa. Strange.
Perhaps that particular rifle just doesn't like the 180 grain.

I've never had any luck with the 180 accubond in any of my 30-06's. I have had good luck with RE22 and 200 grain accubonds at around 2730 fps and imr 4064 with 165 accubonds at 3k fps. The only 180 I've had luck with is a tsx and imr 4350 at 2850 fps. I've also got some 180 scirrocos that shoot very well with h4350 at a tick over 2800 fps.

If your stuck on a 180 accubond I would try h4350 next.

It's a perverse 30-06 that won't shoot with either makers of 4350 or 4831.I think your gun may just not care for the bullet.I have a Win 70 pre-64 in 300 H+H that wouldn't shoot them either. With a switch to 180gr Partitions 1/2 " groups ...same powder charge.Did you seat the Accu- Bonds out as far as your mag will allow without contacting the rifling? This seems to make a big difference with the Accu-Bonds.Harold

From OCW load development recommended powder for 30-06

30-06 Springfield using IMR 4350

155 grain bullet, 58.6 grains (extrapolated from following two loads, untested as of this writing)
165 grain bullet, 57.5 grains
180 grain bullet, 56.0 grains

I am using 150 TTSX bullets in my 30-06 and IMR 4350 at about 3000 ft/sec.
If I am using 180 gr TTSX it is out of 300 Win Mag.

X2 .. Seating longer often helps. If you require more room in the magazine, cut the tips off with a Dremel - flush with the meplat and don't worry about loss of BC. They still shoot well.

How far from the lands are you seating the Accubonds? H4350 and R-22 are both worth trying.

I’ve had good results with imr 4831 with 180’s and imr 4350 with 165’s
I’m sure Dean2 has an answer. He’s all about the ‘06. He’s done his homework on this cal.

Default powder choice

We used to have great luck with RL 22 with 180 bullets. When the powder shortage hit, we thought we would try some Superformance. Wow! One of these two powders should work.
