Default I've been waiting along time

Me and my wife went travelling for a year last year, but no matter where we were in the world in the back of my mind I always wondering how the fish were biting back in Canada.

Finally, yesterday, I got my chance to get out to my favourite perch lake and it was just how I left it a few years ago.

The day started off poor, I'm sick, the roads were bad, and we hit a deer ten minutes from the lake. Lucky for both the deer and I, we only going 10km on impact and the deer took off running no problem. The bush gaurd did its job too and there was no damage at all on the truck.

Fishing was definitely slower then I remember, but they definitely got bigger and I'll take that trade off anyday. We managed to take home some great fish for the freezer and leave some behind for next time. Not only did I catch my P.b but I also out fished the old man about 7-1. Wish I would have taken some photos when they first come out of that hole but I'll I could think about was getting my hook back down. I love Alberta!!!!

Thanks for sharing your story & pictures of a great day fishing!!

I'm more of a trout fisherman, but your pics have got me thinking about maybe expanding my scope and try my luck at catching a few chunky perch like you did!!
