Default Planer board setups

How are you guys setting up your planer boards on your boats any ideas would be great. Reels mounts,line used etc.

Good thread. Never used one myself but could see the trolling benefits, but also the river fishing possibilities too....

50' piece of paracord tied to the side cleat on the boat. Retrieve and deploy by hand.

Just too damn much gear in the boat already! haha

And as high on the boat as you can get. Roof on a hard top is best. Keeps the release out of the water and you get more action when the boat rolls from side to side. They work but PITA as mentioned above.
