I am in the Lethbridge area, I am looking for an area for shooting some rabbits or coyotes. I am looking into learning how to tan and I would love to tan a rabbit hide and make a pair of buck skin gloves lined in rabbit fur.
Fitzy if you have a iphone you can buy the hunting app..and if you get the right program it will show u who owns which land and you can phone and ask a few farmers if they know of any on their land then ask permission to hunt them .. most down there will have Jack Rabbits but some will have Cottontails or Snowshoe Hares ..it might take a bit of ph work but worth it in the end

Read up on Liqua Tan, you can get it from a taxidermy supply shop. Inexpensive and easy to use. I tanned a lynx and a fox using Liqua Tan with amazing results.

When I attended College in Lethbridge in the late 80's, we had some great jack rabbit hunts in the small badlands south of Kehoe Lake and north of Nobleford. Check ownership and obtain permission as my info is OOOLD. (like me)
