All of this information is second hand but it came from the guy who
We are renting a shack from.
Spruce point- 24”
Canyon creek -22”
Narrows- 18” (when he checked last week)
Guys are driving on, less ice heaves then last year but still some. Not the exact location you are looking for but gives you an idea.

hey guys has anyone heard about access to the Spruce Point area? Was thinking of heading that way this weekend. Do you just drive on at the marina, or is there a gate blocking the launch during winter?

We were at jousard yesterday. One truck was still stuck in the crack when we left. We sleded out. The crack was almost 3ft wide when we came off.

Couldn't pay me to try and cross it with a truck right now.

We didn't actually measure the ice but I would say it was around 16-18".

I would bring a couple 2x8's to make sure you can cross. It's wider than a quad tire so I would think the front end might fall in the crack. We crossed on sleds with no issues.

If we were to do it over again. We should have left the sleds at home and just hit the crack in 5th gear hair straight back. A lot warmer that way.

I didn't know that was an option. I would have got out and filmed it for sure.

Guys that are planning on going on the ice stay the hell off with you trucks. The truck that broke through yesterday is still stuck in the ice and the rescue crew that went out to pull him out sunk there bobcat to the bottom with my buddy in it, he got out ok thank god . Not sure why people are trying to cross a 3' wide crack with a truck.

Not sure why anyone would venture out in a heavy bobcat near a 3 ft crack either...get a couple hundred feet of cable and a couple good Jacks and a bunch of lumber...Pretty unnecessary dropping a bobcat thru. Sorry but there are professional recovery teams that have stripped down pickups with big rubber and spuds and winches and cables and divers that make short work of that kinda thing.
