Default Boat set up.

I'm a life long fly fisherman with little experience in spinning or bait casting. I just bought myself a north river commander and while I will continue to fly fish, I'd like to have some rods and tackle on the boat for guests. Any suggestions on what I should stock? Will mostly be on the the NSR, athabasca and Clearwater.

Great looking boat! I just picked up a jet boat myself last October. They are a lot of fun. I can't give you any advice on how to fish as I have never fished any of those rivers but I do recommend that you have some kind of plan to get yourself unstuck in case you bottom out on gravel. Good luck.

For walleye i use a 6"10 extra fast medium light spinning rod with a size 30 reel and 10# braid. Mostly use jigs and twister tails as well as a jig and a minnow.

For sturgeon i use an 8"6 mod fast heavy with a big round reel. I have 60# braid on that reel.

For pike i have a 7" fast medium heavy casting rod with a low profile reel that i have spooled with 40# braid.

I got my jet boat two years ago and i'm loving it. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions!
