Default Cz miniset barrel kit

Are any of you guys and gals familiar with these conversion kits? I was wondering about converting one of my 22lr to 22 wmr. For no particular reason, other than to give it a bit more jam. For shooting gophers or longer range targets. I see the kits going for around $250.

I have a cz 457 scout that my boy won't grow into for a few years still. So I was thinking that one could be my donor.

They are thin walled barrels, so I'm thinking there won't be any clearance issues with the wood stock?

Are there better kits out there? Or am I just wasting my money?

I had the CZ455 varmint combo in 17 HMR and 22 LR switching the barrels was quick and easy but you always had to resight it in, it got to be a PITA so I sold the 22LR barrel. If you're putting it on for the long haul it's fine, both barrels shot really well.

Is yours the miniset kit? Did you have clearance issues with the stock?

17 HMR would be nice too. I might actually prefer that over the 22 wmr. I wonder if that comes in a skinny barrel? I might be stuck with the 22 wmr option.

It might be 5 years or so before my boy shoots it. I have a couple other 22s that he'll probably start with before I let him use this one. Even tho they're careful, they still bump things around a lot.

I believe this would work as it is not the varmint barrel

Too bad the barrel wasn't a bit shorter. But it would be a welcomed modification to my. 22
