A lot of the stone "arrow heads" that folks find were actually too big for arrows and are Atlatl dart points. Something else about these contraptions, the Atlatl is actually the thrower that's held in the hand. There's a huge Atlatl following world wide with shoots and get togetherness just like we have for archery. I've never thrown one but they look like nothing but fun.
