Default Severn Dam

SUCKS Was out there today, between 4 of us, 3 different spots, all with two lines out, not a single bite, oh and the visibility was the worst i have ever seen, first hole i drilled when i broke threw i thought i hit bottom cause the water was sooo brown, not even sure i would want to keep anything out of there if i got one.

Severn always seems to be murky year round but I find it doesn't effect the taste of the trout.

When I was out there in January we had to move alot to find the fish, finally found them in 7 feet of water.Usually we have good luck off of the dam from 14 to 20 feet of water but this year we've had to go to the opposite end of the lake.Fishing has been slow every time out but we have been averaging 3 pound trout, biggest being 4 pounds.

Yeah we fished the dam, in 10-20 feet, then the north side, just before the point that goes around to more of the lake, we were fishing in 3-12 feet there, then moved to the north end and fished the point of a bay fished in 4-7 feet there. I heard it was slow fishing and big fish but i didnt think i would be that slow. What are u catching them on, cause i threw everything i had with me at them yesterday.

Tried fishing there last winter and had the same results, water stunk and was like coffee! AquaVu couldn't even see the bottom of the ice! Wouldn't let my turdhound drink out of there let alone eat the fish!

Mealworms and maggots both worked.I find that you have to keep the bait active all the time, unattended rods would sit untouched no matter what bait was on but if I kept the bait active I'd get a strike.
