Thumbs up Homemade Snowshoe Bindings

Back in the late 70's I copied a pattern to make snowshoe bindings from tractor inner tubes. I have never bought another commercial binding since. If you are interested in the pattern, PM me your address and I'll send you a template. To use them you simply stick your toe in the hole and pull up on the tail. The binding is tied to the main webbing. They are also compact enough to carry as a spare if you're partial to the ones you use now.

I got a pattern like this from my Dad at least 25 years ago although it is a little more refined and more triangular in shape. They work great.
