Drove on Hwy 16 to Stoney Plain, and then north. Roads were good, just a whole lot of stupid on them!

Good luck and be safe out there everyone.

I'm currently in the process of ruining any and all plans that a few 19 year olds had for the weekend.

Getting HAMMERED by snow around this area. Been snowing hard and thick since about 12:30 this pm - about 6 inches of new snow so far, no joke.

Just saw the weather forecast on Global for Edmonton a surrounding area...........Tomorrow - Snow with calm winds in the morning and increasing in the afternoon to 20 to 30 kph. Basically, the morning will lull you into a false sense of security and then BAMMMM! knock you off your feet later in the day.

If I sled tomorrow it'll be in the local area. There's no point it driving too far to sled just to run into a bunch of problems.

Be safe everybody!

Was a freakin gong show once I got to Millet, cars in the ditch everywhere.... just black ice... But once on the Henday.... Graders éplows dont exist in Edmonton. heh. I was so light I had to throw Chains on while blocking traffic just to get on Broadmoor off of yellow head with my turn pikes, as when the light went red, I was on a bit of a grade and on the bend........ couldnt get going again Stupid snow.

All the way home to far north edmonton.... not a single plow.... and it was coming down and still is like crazy

11:00pm, Manning.
Just a light dusting so far.
Getting ready to head to work in 15 minutes. I hope we don't get any more tonight. I don't look forward to plowing all night. Again.

Finally got some weather, brisk gusting wind and there is new snow outside, but I dont know if it was the snow that was a 10 miles north yesterday or 10 miles this afternoon.

In your Dad's pajamas?

I just checked on my sled. It's just a big snow covered bump now. I'm some glad there's no wind to go with this snow......yet.

I hope you enjoyed that stretch from Bowden to Penhold as much as I did.

My crew wrapped up at noon, as the wind was getting pretty stiff in Innisfail

5:20am. Still nothing in north Calgary. Waiting.......

HunterDave. I recall a storm where 160cm of snow came down in less than 48 hours. Unless you've experienced what winter can be like in the Atlantic region of this country, I'd suggest you shut your big yap. Not sure what you mean about "your father's pajamas" though. That a catholic thing?

I am born and raised in Alberta and had the fortune to spend a few years on the east coast. Our worst storms here got nuthin on the storms they have out there. Right now I'm near lodgepole and we have a bit of a wind and 2" of snow since last night.
