Got up here at 6 am and it is STILL snowing, since about noon thirty yesterday. There is a car that has been parked across the street since then and it just looks like a pile of snow sitting there right now - completly buried!

There is a TON of fresh snow here!

Tree,

I know when I did snow removal 20 years ago while in University, there could be variances across the city. So I can report to you and your team that there is absolutely no snow around my house here in Banff Trail (just east of McMahon Stadium).

Good luck on the rest of the weekend

Cheers

Default storm

Still no snow in Medicine Hat. It was raining when I left work at 5 yesterday afternoon, so I suspect the roads will be pretty slick this morning. We have been under a Blizzard warning since late afternoon yesterday, no white stuff yet ............ but it's coming :-(

Due to global warming, the storm has been cancelled.

LMAO!!

Maybe 2 inches here in Lethbridge so far with blowing snow. Old lady driving back from Swift Current this morning so if anyone see's a silver G6 GT in the ditch it will probably be her!

Just windy here, bit of snow blowing around. Great day to spend some quality father-daughter time watching Gordon Eastman hunting videos.

BTW if y'all missed that post the other day, the free Gordon Eastman 2hr movie on xbandits.com is possibly the best outdoors film I've seen. Classic.

I have a late season antlerless elk draw and I was to head out to chase them in WMU 346 on Friday. Aargh! I hope the boss is flexible to shuffle my vacation time...

Default the race is on

Yeehaw lots of snow and strong winds in Lethbridge. There are 4 or 5 guys me included that plow the side walks in our area with our quads. You have to get up and get at it early to be the first out. We all live several blocks apart and with our over laps we've got a couple block radiaus cleaned pretty good.
6-8 inches this morning and lots more to come.

About a foot more here (East Edmonton) then there was yesterday.

On a side note: Gotta love CTV Newsnet.....it might snow in Toronto and is snowing on the US east coast but no mention of western Canada. Center of the universe syndrome I guess.......

Guy and girls, just an update from the High Prairie area. It is UNREAL here. It has been snowing non stop for about 13 hours. Heres a few pics from my yard.

My trucks, that is a skidoo in the back of the GMC!!!

The kid's swing set. Notice also the neighbors trampoline in the background...

And the sheds - those are regular six foot doors on the sheds!!

Pretty crazy, and the snow is still coming!!!

Thanks for that info, Den. Much appreciated. I'm up here in Silver Springs, but my first stop is very near McMahon, next two are near WSS, one near Pick-a-Part, then north to about Country Hills and Deerfoot to start working our way back home. So yep, I know about varied conditions all to well.

It's coming down lightly here right now. Hopefully it stays that way because this wind could certainly make things miserable for sure.

Good luck everyone. Stay safe out there.

Default snow day

Yep, time to make a bowl of popcorn and put on a DVD.
I got Wyatt Earp for Christmas. That should kill about three hours.
My neighbour just pushed snow off my front walk. Sounds like a welding favor heading his way.

I remember in o6 we had about this much snow in November, I ended up NOT getting my moose that I waited 5 years to draw, but DID get a huge Whitetail. Almost couldn't drive the truck up to the beast with all the snow.

Default high winds east of Calgary

had a dog client pick up her pooch this morning and says lots of vehicles in ditch. Not much snow building up but the wind is brutal.
Just finshed the 1 hour job of putting 48 inch snow blower on front of tractor "just in case" in rolls east. Picked a great day for it for the youngest moves to the NW part of city today for first day at SAIT Monday.
Keep Silver Springs open Treeguy as a big white Silverado loaded with boxes, guitars, computers, stereo and a few clothes will be up that way tonight or tomorrow.

took my dogs out in the yard for a run around, good thing my west highland terrier stays close to my lab, or we would have lost the little white bastard in the fresh snow.

REALLY coming down now, been at it all morning, most of it going away with the wind though. 2 feet on one side of the gazebo roof, other side polished like glass.

How many inches in Strathcona County east of Edm ? I'm in Palm Springs but my driveway is in the County. I know you probably don't feel sorry for me, but you can get even by telling me how much snow will be waiting for me in the driveway.
