I'm in Sturgeon County (Morinville) just north of Edmonton. It took me about 1.5 hours to do my double driveway and sidewalk in the front. It was roughly a consistent 12" deep because the snow was coming straight down all night. The winds are supposed to be 20 to 30 kph tonight so there's going to be allot of drifting. I'd stay in Palm Springs until mid-March if I were you.

Is it still snowing in Edmonton? In Wainwright and it is coming and going right now. Just curious if there is anymore on the way or is it just gonna be blowing all night.

Took the dog up on Nose Hill for a couple of hours this afternoon. Had to wear my ski goggles, but the Pup was oblivious to the wind. Wasn't super cold, but with that wind, any exposed skin was pretty frosty.

Didnt go sledding today, glad we didnt but if your a sledder you got to be loving this snowfall. Problem 1, minus 20 or colder for next weekend. May have to bundle up a bit extra if we are going to play in this dump of snow.

Yeah, I decided against it today as well. Besides I had a wee bit of shoveling to do...lol! I'll be out tomorrow though. The cold doesn't bother me much on the sled and this nice deep powder should be allot of fun!

Well with the snow storm that has now ended, looks like we received around 14 inches ( my estimate), no chace my quad could clear mt driveway, and the county roads were bad bad bad, my air intake of my truck was stuffed solid with snow, no power, anyway had to get my buddy that farms near by to come with his dual wheeled tractor with a 12 ft blade, he made short work of the drifts, thank you thank you by buddy., great outlook for a wet spring,http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/image...shakeshout.gif

'New guys' ride a shovel not a quad.

The pay's pretty fair for unemployed 19-20 year olds. Probably enough to keep em stocked up on dope and muchies playing Xbox in their parent's basement for a full week.......
