Default need advise to buy an unhook fish tool

Since the stocked rainbow is so small and often swallow my hook deep. I don't want to hurt the fish too much before release it, but still want to stay the way I am using for fishing (bait+float), which remind me my childhood fishing style lol... Could anyone here introduce me a decent unhook small fish tool? Thanks in advance!

I have a stick like tool that runs the line to the hook and as you push it into the mouth it catches the hook and removes it without repeircing. I'll try to draw a pic of it, brb.

it can do hooks from as small as size #12 to as big as #1,,, very very smart little gizmo.

As you push it down the line you reach the hook,,, I explained this already, my bad.

Mine is slightly better (not trying to be smug) as it stops the hook from catching on any flesh/tongue/gill/throat once put into motion and you dont have to twist it. Perfect for dinker trout but doesn't work so well with trebles.

If the fish is swallowing the hook before you notice your float go down,

you need a different style float and/or

need to watch your float.

haemostats are good for most trout.

you could also try a different style hook or size of hook

What style of hook would you suggest out of curiosity? I've never had much luck with circle hooks under bobbers, long shank hooks with the barbs clipped make things a bit easyer in my experience.

Good advise on the floats, lots of people use way to big of floats, but deeply fish will still happen. I use little floats, weight them untill they barely float, watch them like a hawk, and I still get deeply hooked fish.
