Default Golden Trout

Thinking about going after them again this year. Tried to hike into Michelle lake last year, but took a wrong turn.... And we didn't make it in.
My question is, where will I find bigger, and the best numbers of the Goldens?
Michelle or Coral Lake?

I'm thinking Coral because it a harder hike in.
PS.... I will only be catching n releasing (pics only)

Thanks for any info

We fished hard! And the biggest we got out of Michelle was about 14", most in the 10-12 inch range. Still respectable Goldens, but you know they get bigger... You got 2 more months to research anyway! Lol

I use the long hikes to get me into sheep shape
That's half the reason I fish alpine lakes, and gear testing

4-5 hour hikes into rainy ridge depending on how much gear you take!

4-5 hour hike means to many people for this guy
I like hard hikes with extra gear, n weight, so sheep hunting seams a little easier

I've never heard of ghost trout, unless its a slang name

You can always hike right past the lake and fish it on the way back if its really just the hike your after.

I'll tell him about your thread and I'm sure he'll be able to give you lots of information about the lakes and the hikes into them. GN
