Default Any Lowrance experts...

Changing my LMS-332 at my drivers console to a LCX-112c

I know its probably older technology now but the price was right. Very similar units on the outside but the 112 has the large screen, both units are gps.

Anyways, I never marked any waypoints on the 332, mostly marked my spots with icons. Such as anchor icons on anchor spots and stop sign icons on spots to stop to start trolling and what not. Just tried my map card in the 112 and the icons never transferred onto the map so guessing the sonar itself holds the spots and nothing on the map.

Anyone know a way I can transfer the icons from the 332 to the 112

I don't believe icons have co-ordinates. You will probably have to cursor over them and save them as waypoints, then save to sd card and transfer.

The only thing you are alble to do is transfer them over on a .GPX file format. This will convert to plain unformatted waypoints on your new unit.

As bobalong mentioned - you do this by loading (saving them to) a SD card.

There is no way, that I'm aware of, to transfer over conditional formatting (such as the icons) to another unit.

When you bring over the loaded card and plug it into the new unit it should ask you to "save it internal memory" - at that point say "yes" and you are good to go.

My Lawrence hds8 has something loose rattling inside I was going to open it up and check it out but someone mentioned it might be gas filled to prevent fogging does anyone know if that's true or can I just open it up?

I believe they are still gas filled. I would phone or (email might be faster) one of the techs at Lowrance.

If you have warranty , don't touch it. You'll void it if you open it. The first models had a problem with water getting in.

When all else fails read the manual...lol. Thanks for the input guys, I got er figured out. I had to save my data to the map card, then went to the new finder and loaded them. All icons switched over...
