Default old Peetz wood salmon reel

I have a mahogany and brass 5" spool Peetz salmon reel. I sent it to the factory for reconditioning in Victoria.Any idea what they are worth ? Haven't found much on Google.........Harold

I've seen them for sale around 70-100 in used condition when I lived on Vancouver Island.

The make several different models.
A few years back I acquired n ad wanted to restore it.
The sent me some of the original water decals for it.
They have a website and you can phone them.

I ordered one for a friend this summer and it was their newer evolution series. It cost about $360 with shipping and engraving. They also had a higher end one, though with same technical specs but with more artwork, for $800. When I gave it to my friend, he offered to have us try it, comparing it to his Islander MR3's. While the Peetz was a smooth reel, our preference was still for the Islanders. It makes a great display piece but for the money, I think the Islanders are a better way to go.

i have a couple. One is loaded with line for the grandkids kite when they come to visit. Not a lot of salmon fishing around Bodo.
