Default my daughters perch mount

So back in late March my daughter Alison caught her very first perch, a beauty that almost hit the 13 inch mark! Pretty nice perch for her first.

We decided to get it done up, so off to the taxi guy it went. I picked it up today, and I am really happy with it - I think it turned out great, and looks awesome with the blue on our wall.

( hit me up if you want to go out this winter and catch some jumbo perch of your own.... )

No need for an apology when you have a perch that big!

Congrats to your daughter on the beauty perch!

I like the mount but her fish in the original picture seems heck of a lot larger. not sure if this is how replicas come out, not sure how they are made.

Nice Perch and congrats to the little lady who caught it! Not sure I like the white painted ends of the fins, that looks a little unnatural to me but otherwise pretty good looking mount. I have room for one more Perch on my mount at home but I have to catch one over 15-5/8" long and 1lb 14 oz or better. No luck yet, still fishing, but I do intend to beat my PB and put it on that mount!

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

local angler: the work was done by Dave Booth Taxidermy out of Kinuso, Alberta. It is the same fish she caught ( I hope....) as I am not a fan of replicas - I prefer to have the actual fish or animal that I ( we ) harvested as opposed to a replica

crankbait: I agree, I thought so too, but in the pic when she caught it, she has the back humped up and is pushing the head down, making it look bigger I believe, but yes it does look way thicker in the first pic. I have never had a fish mount done, so I'm not really not sure how to look at it critically. I think it looks pretty good, but again......uneducated opinion!

stinky buffalo: thats what it all about for us - I'll remember the excitement of that catch for years now!

perchbuster: I love your mount! The greenery in it looks awesome. I would love to add to ours and maybe make a nice big mount with multiple fish on it. Maybe we'll add to it over the years to come.

Great sized perch!

I've caught literally thousands of perch and can count those 13 inches and bigger on one hand.
