Default 2 prairie Whitetail Bucks

My work partner and I headed out for whitetails this morning. We were glassing at first light and could see several deer in all directions. We both own Swarovski spotting scopes . . . . a must have in big open country. The rut is in full swing . . . . bucks chasing does. I spotted a buck bedded with a single doe (4x4 with browtines). Jon and I split up walking about a mile apart and headed into where this buck and doe was. We got into position and the deer were now moving. I saw the buck, ranged him at 355 yards and shot. This was about 9 am and we had the buck taken care of, and in the truck. At around 1 pm, we were eating our share of halloween candy sitting and glassing . . . . I look up and see a buck running straight for us. I say "Hey JON LOOK!" . . . he grabs his 7mm-08 and gets into position on a fence line in front of us. He shoots the buck at 75 yards on the run. Perfect heart shot. Right place at the right time I guess. We spent the rest of the day spotting for mule deer. My wife has a tag. We plan to hunt this weekend on horses. We found some pretty nice mule deer for her to chase, and I hope we can find them in a few days.
