Default Good read supporting Melissa Bachman

May be something to pass along to a non hunter in defence of Melissa and also our hunting heritage and what we help to contribute.

Default Very well done

Considering all the "experts" on the Post site yesterday this is welcomed and refreshing view and a practical perspective from a non hunter.

Good read. What he wrote about Kenya is very true and the people that don't like how hunting is done in Africa need to take a good look at what has happened there versus countries that have embraced trophy hunting in Africa.

Default Good read

Fantastic post. That link would have shut down a lot of armchair critics on the thread yesterday. I mean really, how dare they cloud the issue with FACTS

We'll have to wait and see how many pop up here to keep their hate on.

Great read...there are always three sides to every story.

best lines that I read:

"If she’s at all typical of professional hunters, she can comfort herself with the knowledge that she is more in tune with nature and its conservation than most of the haters."

Very true IMHO...ethical hunters have a much better sense regarding the health of the herd, etc...

How many guys have you heard that won't take a deer this year by choice? I know of a few...

And this:

"Hypocritical anger is a greater threat to conservation than Bachman’s rifle will ever be."

Simply put, the best retort to the antis I have ever seen.

Was a good read and opened my eyes towards some things about African trophy hunting that I didn't know about.

Makes a compelling case for canned hunts, can't wait for them to get to AB.

x2. Obviously curbing poaching in some parts of the world is not viewed in a good light for some Alberta folks.

Hey we could use some poacher curbing here as well, get all the animals on fenced farms and then the rich can tell us how blessed we are to have them grace our province. We are less than a generation behind Africa, for some on this board, it can't come quickly enough. No waits for draws, no pesky residents, just pay your money and your in. We can all benefit from that right.
