Obed is a shallow lake with only a small deeper area. The creek between summit lake and obed lake is supposed to have big brown trout but that hasn't been my experience. I spent a full day on Obed last fall and not a fish..not even a perch.
I would suggest Millers lake 20 or so miles east of Obed. 3 or 4 inch trout colored rapala. Just rainbows in Millers lake but of fairly nice size.
