Default oooooh KINGS

My wife and I went to Alaska for a fishing trip this july,Ihooked this monster on my birthday,he tipped the scales just over 66lbs.My misses hooked a forty two pounder the next,recommend the trip to everyone it was awsome.
Have tried to post pics but am having trouble

Nice. Were you on the Kenai? I have caught some hogs on there.
You can see why they issue tags only for those monsters.

Yes it was the Kenai river about 3km from the mouth'lot's of fun

Default Kenai Kings

Thanks Jamie,I'm still eating him,but my buddies at Antlerhill Taxidermy in Innisfail are doing a replica of him for me.The fight wasn't really that long about 1/2 hr was all.If you were thinking of going up to Alaska let me know and I'll pass on any info that I can.Again thanks

Boy do I ever like big Salmon!!
And I like that one a lot!!

Only fought for a 1/2 Hour??? That seems like a lifetime to me.
only 8.5 months till I go again. DOubt I will run into a hog like that, but I would kill to get over that 50 mark.. Heck I just want one in the boat over 30.
5 trips and still not one over 30.....
6th time has to be the charm

Hey Rockymtnx,my wifes cousin lives in Anchorage and has a place on the Kenai as well,so we were a little spoiled.We had to by an Alaska liscence of course and then thy sell you a King tag as well ,was a little pricey but well worth it .Happy fishing
