Default 1995 Honda Fourtrax ?

I know an older couple who had three of these older Honda's. They ranged from the late 80s to the early 90s. They used them for trapping and hunting, and took very good care of them. Always parked inside etc. They sold one earlier this fall to my neighbour and she is very happy with it. I was over helping them clean their chimney today and they mentioned they would consider selling the 95 model. I looked at it and it looked really clean and well maintained. What is a fair price to pay for a quad of this vintage and were they good bikes? Are parts easy to get or impossible? Thanks for any information.

I bought an absolutely mint one, two or so years ago for $2000. We also have one that we use for our weed spraying quad. I think we paid around $2000 for that one as well.

Haven’t had any issues getting any parts that I’ve needed for them.

2002- $2000.00
1999- $1500.00
1995- $1000-1250

These quads 20+ years old.

Good condition quads. Otherwise pick up a 4 year old quad for $4500-$5500

We have a 1995 Honda 300. My dad bought it brand new, I would have been 11. This is the quad that me, my little brother, and all my friends bagged throughout all our teenage years. We haven’t changed the fluids as often as we’re supposed to. We changed the original battery and tires a few years ago. Still haven’t ever cleaned the carb. Always run dirty 87 octane with ethanol and never drain the tank or carb for the winter. The quad still runs mint to this day.

Same as my late 80’s model fourtrax 250 2 wheel drive. Barely changed the oil and rat bagged it non stop. Couldn’t hurt the thing. I tried. Lol

We had an 86 fourtrax 250 2wd that we bagged the **** out of when we were kids. I bet that thing had 30K on it. All we ever did to it was brakes, battery and tires. Its been sitting for a couple years but was still running when parked. Honda's aren't the fanciest, fastest, smoothest or the most powerful, but they will always get you back to the truck.

You can't go wrong buying a well cared for Honda. If you decide to pass it up drop me a line.

main thing to check on those is the rear end. water comes in from brake side and contaminates the diff and wears out the internals and then it is big bucks for parts. Yamaha Big bears and Kodiaks also fall victim to this as well.

Give them 1500 bucks and off ya go.....happy to have something that will last another 20 years.

Got two never looked back, got buddies who have three of four since, throwing money all over hells half acres and I just keep on keeping on with little cost and grief!

Had the same unit at grandpa's farm that he got for a steal and let us go hog wild on if the work was don. Same thing, we bagged and abused the hell out of that quad, barely changed oil, and just dumped some fuel in whenever needed. Rolling up on round bales to see how fast we could get them going across the field was a favorite.

Never broke anything after years of abuse and the damn thing fired up with fresh gas and a boost this summer after sitting for 5+ years in a tattered old shed. They really don't make em like that anymore.
