Our family lost our Mom in a nursing home last March and not to covid. We believe a virus past through her nursing home in Nov/Dec 2020, 13 people passed away in a short period of time with flu symptoms. My Sister and I could not see her for the last 3 weeks of her life and only on the last day before she passed away. As for funerals there is no closure for surviving family. If possible it is best to have a funeral as soon as possible. We currently have 3 senior immediate relatives in care facilities and we have not seen them since then. We know many people in this situation unable to see loved ones that passed away. This bloody lock down nonsense needs to stop and people need to have the right of whether or not they want visitors.

There are freedom rallies happening on a weekly basis all across Alberta. Join them and stand up for your freedoms, we have had enough with this BS being jammed down our throats.

All I can offer is my heartfelt condolences. Losing a loved one is brutal. Throw in these restrictions on top of it and it can be crippling to mental and emotional health.

Hope you and your family can navigate these brutal times as best you can.

We went through this with my mom in which there was a decision to have her stay in the hospital and have 24/7 care and visitations accordingly or have her home and have assistance....there are always choices....hope the best for the OP and family.

Condolences to you and your family. This government shows absolutely zero respect for the dying or their families. If they truly did care there would be a mechanism in place so that families could be together in these trying times.

Shandro is an idiot, and Kennney even a bigger idiot.

Condolences to you and family fellow AO member.

And I wholeheartedly second your rant and frustrations.

My theory is, sometimes you have to do what you have to do, irregardless of what you're told.
