Default Dads first elk ever. Popped his "Elk Cherry 🍒"

Check out the link below to watch my dad harvest his first elk. Late season tag and couldn't connect 4 years ago when he had his first tag.

Enjoy 14 min video.

Seeing your dads hooting and hollering after the elk fell, is what it is all about.

Trophies don’t need to have antlers to still be a trophy...

Heh! He made a similar yell as my oldest son did when he shot his first deer. Exciting times!

We helped my 83 year old hunting partner do a stalk to within 70 yards in zone 108 last September on his cow elk. We felt the same and getting that close in open country was a challenge for the 500 yard stalk through open hill country.

His reaction was priceless. Glad I was able to capture it on film. I'm glad he didn't give up. He just needed a shot of adrenaline to get him fired up first thing in the morning Thanks for watching.

The older we get the more difficult those hills get. What a great keepsake of a hunt, that video will be watched many times I’m sure.
