I met him, he gave me a beer. Either 90 or 91, was in the RCN and on a Stanaforlant mission. There was a beer call on HMS Campbelltown when docked in UK, so I went naturally. I didn't speak with him as he was busy handing out beers. The UK sailors said that they had alot of respect for him because of his support for the RN.
