Default Sako m995 trg

Anyone own one of these?
What's your thoughts on them?
I found one that might fit what I'm after.
Thanks

They are exceptionally well built rifles albeit a tad heavy by today’s standards and a massive action. They are shooters. I have not owned one but have handled a few. There is some issue with the forends of the stock I believe. Do your research, I thought some were prone to the synthetic actually cracking or breaking.

Are you going to rebarrel?

Good luck.

I'm not re barreling. Just happens to be the caliber I'm after.

Well made rifles with the usual Sako accuracy. In comparison to other Sako models, the 995 tends to be a bit heavier. I like the bolt and the manner in which it cycles. Very smooth.

I own one in LA (non magnum). Butter-smooth action with 3 recoil lugs.
Originally it was 26-05. I used it for custom build in 280 Rem. Krieger #4 25" barrel; custom laminate stock with adjustable butt-plate, McMillan bottom metal. It is my long range hunting rifle, makes 1/4-1/2MOA with hand load.

As already mentioned,very accurate rifles.
They are prone to cracking around the front swivel stud, so if you plan on doing much shooting get that area reinforced if it hasn’t already been done.

Even better because those are excellent barrels!! Give us an update on chambering, and whether you get it or not. Of course pics with a sneaker in it are always welcome

Excellent rifles for the price pont. I've owned 1/2 dozen of them. All shot exceptionally well. Great triggers, smooth actions and a McMillan Stock. What's not to like?

She's chambered in 338 Winchester magnum. Picking up tomorrow. Sure appreciate the advice.
Thanks
