Default Cabelas Covenant rifle scopes?

Does anyone have any first hand experience with these scopes? I’d like to hear some opinions for those who have first hand expierience.

Thanks

I have one, the 4x16 in SFP. It is quite clear until you get to the very adages of the lense. It tracks well, returns to zero, etc.

A couple of things I really don’t like is the lack of locking turrets and no zero stop. Other than that, for the money I think they’ll be tough to beat.
That being said, for not that much more, or about 15% more for the FFP, Vortex Diamondback Tactical. Fairly new scope I think. I was looking between the two of them for my rimfire that I am going to try and set up for the Canadian Precision Rimfire Series coming to Medicine Hat this summer. As an added benefit for that, 85 MOA of internal adjustment might mean I don’t need a 20 MOA rail.

Prophet has some decent optics sales/clearances going on right now.

I have the 6-24x50 SFP on a .308 i set up to try some long range shooting. I'm very new to long range so i can only speak to trying to focus on targets out to 600 yards. At 600 the paper target was quite "fuzzy" but good enough to hold on the cross. I actually thought it was an OK scope until i looked through my buddies Vortex HST at the same target and realized that the Covenant is priced exactly where it should be. I wouldn't buy it again.

Does it have a side parallax adjustment?

Yes, side parralex and a front focus ring.

I haven’t tried focusing on paper at 600 but I have had trees be in perfect focus at a tad over 900. There is a difference there though.

Good scope for the money. It does get a little fuzzy at the edges when using all the gold over. I have no issues with the parallax shooting well beyond 1000 yards.
If the zero stop is an issue just get a rail made up so your turret is bottomed out when zeroes. Then you can also use all the dial
