Default What's in a name? Animal nicknames.

What do you call these critters we pursue.... I know of "Bush pig" for black bear. "Swamp Donkey" for moosey. I have a few choice words for whitetail but none that would be considered a nickname. Any other good ones out there?

Guess I consider it disrespectful to the game and a good way to offend people. Must be the German in me.

Slow elk (cattle)

I always wondered why you called TreeGuy a red magpie!

I call my Lab Duke - Turdface quite a bit. Mostly because he tries to eat poop if we aren't looking.

You could add cormorants to that name too. Also jughead for a moose.
