River Boat

Can anyone recommend a dealer in the Edm area that sells river boats and jet drive motors, not looking for anything too fancy, 14-16 foot that can handle 40-60 hp jet drive, thanks in advance!!

I have an 09 explorer 142dc with a yamaha 40/30 efi that is in great shape that I was thinking if selling. The aluminum hasn't even faded yet.

You can buy a alumarine 20 footer tunnel hull, get the transom raised up get Teflon on bottom and rig up for 20k.... Explorer are fully taking advantage of the niche river market. There boats are useless on a lake unless it's flat calm...They are also tiny. .. you can get a real river boat gently used for 30k with a 200 hp optimal. .. shop around pick a boat and engine and trailer all separate and you will save thousands. Plus you can keep the prop for your motor...my 2 cents. I like explorer boats but they are over priced by 10k.

I've been on a whole bunch of River Boats , And Explorer industries are by far the Most appealing to me, And for what I use it for, By far the best value out there !

Maybe, but your getting a hull that is .08 as opposed to 3/16 and is not all welded. I've ran the 162 alot and it is far from "tiny". It has a bigger bottom and a bigger beam. From what i understand he is looking for a 14 to 16ft boat with an outboard which is far from 200hp and 20 ft. Not many riverboats are great on a lake, but, a boat designed for the lake will not run as shallow as a boat designed for the river. You need to decide what most of your use is going to be. Buying things as a package usually means it has been tested and designed to work. Also, 1 place to go for warranty. Why would you want to keep your prop? It's usless if you want to put it on and try to run it with a tunnel. Just my 2 cents.

I have a tunnel hull boat with a prop works great on the lake......it's 16 feet which is tiny. .... not saying explorers are junk, they are great boats but super inflated in price. .....if you look around you can package up your own much cheaper. I have looked... trust me.
