Default Bimini top

I am looking at possibly putting a bimini top on my 14 ft princecraft boat. Its a tiller with a 25 hp yamaha. Just looking to keep the sun and rain off me. Any suggestions as to brand etc would be appreciated, also ease off install and setting up, as well as possible restrictions as far as casting etc that you have encountered. Please let me know, and if its not feasible ill be back to a hat and rain poncho.

SewWut in Calgary does amazingly good work on this kinda stuff.

If you’re just after a fairly cheap option, Google Bimini tops, there are lots of generic options out there that’ll be a lot cheaper than having one custom built.

I put one on my 16' 74" beam Mirrocraft boat a few years back, and it's awesome. As far as casting, it makes it a little more difficult, but not impossible! It's not to bad for casting out of the back. I put my top a little farther back to provide more shade throughout the day. Its stable, and does not move around much when zipping around at full throttle. As an added bonus, I used a couple of tye-raps to fashion a loop, and run the rods, and fishnet through them, helps free up some space.

Mine is a Attwood bimini 3 bow, top. If you call Darryl Boe @ Europa Canopy And Marine in Edmonton, he can fix you up with one. They have a website also
europacanopy.com you can see the bimini tops there, under accessories, etc

The second pic, shows the shade at around 2:30 in the afternoon, during a sizzling hot 32*C August day, with lots of shade from the canopy.

Hope this helps you a bit!

Amazon.ca has some excellent quality bikinis tops.

A friend ordered his and it came quickly.
Problem was, he ordered the wrong size. They sent him a shipping label to send it back and promptly sent the right one.

When you find a great deal, let us know.

Thanks for the advice, I am gonna spend the weekend checking some out online. I also emailed the europacanopy guy and he actually phoned me back and we discussed his products. With that kind of service I am leaning towards purchasing from him if he has a suitable canopy for my boat.

He is very good, and easy to deal with. A small run business, that has great customer service!
