Default That shot sounded different

While doing some target practice,I noticed a different sound, i wasnt sure, but decided to pull the bolt and have a look, sure enough the bullet made it to about 3 inches from the muzzle,it was a factory round, maybe three years old.Stored inside in a cool dry dry area.No time for sleeping anytime you have a gun in your hand.

Holy crow! Good on you for catching that. Sure would have been a different story if you sent another down.

Had that happen with Remington bulk pack .22 LR amo once. Couple times with a muzzle loader, which was obviously my fault. Never seen it happen on a centerfire though.

Not only sound different, it should feel different, i.e no recoil. Like dry firing.
