Default SW Wabamun Question

Hi Guys,

Thinking of heading out to SW Wabamun on the weekend ... I am assuming that I will be walking on vs driving with all of this slush from the melt.

Anyone been out there recently ... how's the top ice and fishing?

(I will post a report when we are back)

we fished wab on Saturday and access wasn't an issue at all. we had 2 trucks and a van and had no problems. fishing was slow but we were mostly keeping the kids entertained and only fished for 2 hours. arguably at the worst time 11-1 to boot. But all of the kids caught at least 1 fish which was awesome!

I'm hoping to head out there either Thursday or Friday morning. If I make it I'll let you know what ice conditions look like.

If going off rr55 do not go left when you hit lake There is a gas seep that weakens ice about 400 yds out in 10 oclock position. My neighbour sunk his truck there 3 years ago in late feb when there was tons of ice.
