Default Highway 93 Photography

I thought I'd share some recent pictures from Icefields Parkway. These were taken with new mirrorless gear.

And a couple of B&W images. These won't be everyone's cup of tea but I like them:

Great shots, I think the black and white adds some "drama" and texture lost in colour.

I can't thank you enough for all the nice comments. I take my hobby seriously and I've worked hard over the past 3-4 years to improve. I'm happy with some constructive criticism if you feel like it.

The new camera is a Fuji X-T3. All the pictures except Black Mountain (my title) were taken with the kit lens, the 18-55mm f2.8-4. The mountain face was shot with the 50-140mm f2.8. That's an incredible lens and that picture doesn't do it justice.

I've made 6 trips to 93 over the past two months and I'll post more later as I process them. Hopefully, I got some nice shots from Abraham Lake this past Sunday. Seriously though, you can almost point your camera out the car window as you're driving through and get a nice picture. By the way, all post processing was done with Capture One 12, in case you're interested.

Thanks guys.

*Ansel Adams approval? I wish

To call me an amateur photographer would be a compliment, but one thing ive found that is fun is to take a higher res pictures and experiment with zooming an framing in different ways to improve composition. I really like your photos and I hope you dont mind, but zooming in and reframing slightly makes them a bit more interesting for me...

PS: Due to mental flatulence I didnt realise how high res those pictures are... thanks extra!

Did you use a polarizing filter to capture that sky? I'm just learning and from what I've heard they really blue the sky

Great pics! I recently made the switch from my Nikon D3X to an Olympus OM-D EM-1 Mark 2 mirrorless set up as well. I love the in body stabilization system and weather proof body. I very nearly got the same camera as you though.

Here’s a shot taken with my new rig. I’m really enjoying the mirrorless option.

The Hwy93 drive has to be one of the most scenic drives on the planet and you captured its beauty and grandeur perfectly. Well done sir and thank you for sharing
