Default NSR tonight! Pics!

Decided to head down to the NSR tonight, because why not, I had time to kill with some friends. Anyways, tons of walleye, pike, and burbot about, all hanging around the sides. Had a bite and reeled in a decent size walleye, about a good 30 inches, but it got unhooked while it was thrashin' about in the shallow water. No pics, so I know, it didn't happen! haha. Anyways cause a couple Pike, which I feel I cheated catching the last one. Anyways here's the pics!

First pike I caught :

Second, (which I cheated) :

Reason why I feel I cheated, I put a fly on my line and kept casting it juuuust infront of the Pikes face ( he was scooping bugs off the top ) and then he saw it and went for it. Oh well, stilll a catch!

The beavers tend to keep to themselves, all though, if I ever accidently hooked one, I'd cry, cut my line and run. I've heard those things are nasty to hook haha

Not cheating, adapting to circumstance. Well done for finding fish in the high water.

This is a great quote!

nice pics, you'll have to go back and catch the hog that got away!

Wish there was as many 30" fish in the Bow as there are in the NSR.

You guys have it made!

Edit for WC: *Upper Bow.....upper

I saw tons of burbot while I was there last night. they were only tiny little guys, maybe 3-7 inches, all hanging out along the sides catching all the bugs as they hit the water from the rain.

Was down at the whitemud last night, and was catching walleye and sucker litterally a foot from shore. seen them splashing once in a while right up in the trees.
