The road to Rock Lake this past saturday...
The lake was also up about 4' and very churned up. Managed to launch and fish for 10mins before we had to leave at the direction of F&W because the entire road was probably going to wash out by the end of the day....

Default Upper Red Deer River

This is a pic of what normally is flat water below a rapid called Double Ledge. It is located on the Coal Camp road on the way out to YaHa Tinda from Sundre. At that level it is unraftable but currently the water level is absolutely perfect for some exciting white water rafting. If there is any interest I have a pile more pics.

did the fortress lake hike last weekend. should of taken more pics. the water driving throught the park on the way to jasper was insane. flooded from road to the mountains on both sides of the road. ranger told us the chaba was impossible to cross but we told him we were going for a walk anyway. wapiti falls were so high that it wasn't even a water fall more like a giant washing machine. highest alot of the employees have ever seen. thought we were going for a long hike to be turned around but got to the chaba and it wasn't even waist deep. the trail on the way out was so wet we had to detour up to half a k into the bush or wade through over knee deep water. great trip though..

Isn't the north raven usually good when other streams are blown out?

you guys should have seen the dam just after the exit on the way to exshaw/grotto mountain pond last week. The water looked like a washing machine on a spin cycle!
