Going to hit the north end for the first time this year. Anyone been on yet? Any flooding?

Trying for whites. Any reports?

I havent seen anyone on the north side of the lake at all. There's more people than ever on the south side though. I was just telling myself couple days ago that I should venture on over to the other side of the lake and see what goes on over there :-)
Along the same lines here the other day was a fella looking for a decent spot to fish. A fella with the name "Troutlover" posted about 8 lakes, all with walleye, pike, and/or whitefish. I thought it was funny he never mentioned a single lake that had trout in it

Drove on at Palm Bay road. Good ice 16-18 ". No floodwater where we were at.

Caught about a dozen whitefish. Saw twice as many. We kept a few for dinner. Smaller average this year. Maybe 1.5 lbs. Couple of eyes in 9FOW and one small pike.

Castmasters and small gold tear drops worked about the best.
