Default Elk 2009

Shot this guy yesterday evening, he is my first elk. Finally after 3 yrs of hard hunting I finally put one down, he was taken in the Hinton area, I have only lived and hunted for 3 yrs, got into some good action opening day in the 6pt zone, had an absolute giant come in at 150yrs, I could not tell if he was a 6 counnted 5 for sure he just wouldnt let me get a good enough look so I had to back off. We where in and out of them all week. last nightwe decided to go to the 3pt zone and give the other are a break and got his guy to came out into the meadow chasing a cow and dropped him on the spot 75 yrds. We found that alot of the calls that where calling where coming to the cow call, they didnt want much to do with the bugle. no field photos as it got dark to fast.

I am having trouble posting pics, so if someone wants to help, that would be great
