Default Marcum LX-7 Colour LCD Sonar/Flasher System

Hey guys . I was thinking of upgrading from my Vexilar FL-8se and buying the Marcum LX-7 Sonar/Flasher. After reading online about a lot of people having freezing issues. I'm gun shy now. Do any of you own an LX-7? How is it ? Have you had any freezing problems or issues ? Thanks in advance .

I have the lx7 and lx9,

lx9 i have had one issue before and it was about 130 to repair.

as for the lx7 i've never experienced any issues or any freezing.

This is fishing outside, no shack in -35 temperatures. I had more problems with hole freezing and fishing reel problems. The lx7 hold held up fantastic.

i've owned both since 2012-2013 ice season

GOD i wish i had that lithium base, The bag is dang annoying and it serves no good purpose. The base atleast has a good battery, rod holder and camera mounts ect.

Default Lx7

Had one for a couple years now. No problems. Keep the brightness as low as possible and carry a second battery. I get a full day on one battery

Thanks HuyFishin. Saw you at a lake close to home filming. Didn't want to bug you and your friends and wife. We caught a bunch of little walleye and a few average sized pike .
