Default Kids perch lake/trout lake

I used to go to Halfmoon for the 4 inchers, rumour is that it winterkilled. Anyone have a beat on a lake reasonably close to Edmonton that my son can catch a ton of small perch.

Also open to a trout lake, just looking for good action to keep him busy.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Try star lake west of Edmonton. Pile of perch in there. Took the boys out there this summer and caught a pile. Buddy went out a few weeks back and caught a pile fishing till 2 hrs after dark on the ice !!! Nothing big but good steady action and real close.

Nope. Both killed off years ago
