Default Spray Report

WIND!!!! The bite was OK, maybe a dozen hits and 5 hookups between 10 and noon. Really slow after 11. Fished south of Sparrowhawk in 100 ft of water. Fish found between 60 ft and bottom. Noting bigger than 14" - I don't recall them averaging that small.

Default Spray

Went also went on Sunday for the first time this year. Fishing was slower than
I've ever seen. Only caught one and no other bites. Also by sparrowhawk and also in 100' of water. Saw the odd one on the fish finder then after 11am nothing.

was on the Spray on Saturday, at the Driftwood great day: wind blasts, snow, friends )) good fishing from sunrise to noon we left at 12.30
busy in the morning (missed 3 bites while setting the camera), and every hour in general - good fishing day we were at 60 feet, and fishing about 1-2 feet off the bottom in total 9 lakers, from 13 to 16 inches
now I love Spray Lake ))))

We are heading to Spray tomorrow...can you confirm there is snow on the ice or do we need our skates like the last time I was there last year?..I am thinking we park at driftwood, pick a few spots, jig smelt at or near the bottom?...any other tips are welcome...thanks...sk

3/8 oz jigs, any kind of whitish/light body and baited with smelt. Usually works for me. Is this the typical Spray setup? Some people also tie a dropper fly for whitefish as there's supposed to be whitefish in the lake too but I don't know if they hang out in the same place as the lakers.
