Default Marcum Camera Repair - Edmonton

I need to get my Marcum camera looked at. The depth meter no longer reads (it always says 0). I've reset it as recommended in the service manual but the problem persists.

It's past the warranty (plus I lost the receipt). I know there is a place that services them in Winnipeg but that's going to be a month turnaround (with shipping back/forth) and I'd rather not miss a month of fishing.

Anyone know of someplace that can repair/replace Marcum parts in Edmonton? I called the Reel Dr. and he doesn't service them.

Thanks!

Marcum has a really good repair program but it takes a few weeks to get it back.

My unit was really busted up after bouncing around a toboggan over ten years. A wire internally finally busted loose and I could not fix it myself. I mailed my unit to someplace in the states maybe Minnesota. I was also out of warranty and they replaced the entire screen which was totally scratched and barely readable, a new transducer and new camera because the colour on my original one was not functioning properly. It’s a flat fee of about $200 and they will fix any and all problems with the unit.

I think it’s the best value I’ve ever gotten for a repair for something so far out of warranty.

Good luck!

I am pretty sure Winnipeg is your only bet. I have had to send my flasher back to them twice now and its only ever taken a couple weeks to get back max.

That is correct, Winnipeg is the place. Still better than it used to be when we had to send them states side.

Ugh… that’s what I figured. I’ll have to get it fixed in the spring.

Thanks for the feedback anyway

Just box it up and dend it. They are really good for quick turnaround time. When we used to send the odd 1 from the store they would be back from the U.S. within 10 to 14 days.
